On Saturday Oct. 13, from 7:30 until 9 pm at the Dance Rehearsal studio in the 2nd floor of the Krannert Center, the International Guild of Musicians in Dance will be holding an improvisational music concert and open community dance jam. This event brings together around 30 musicians who specialize in the art of making music for improvisational and concert dance, and includes pianists, percussionists, drummers, keyboard players, and other musical talents. The musicians will be organized into various ensembles all evening, and the dance floor will be open for contact improvisation or free dance improvisation.

This is a rare opportunity to move with the support of expert dance music improvisers, or to just sit and listen to the spontaneously composed music. It promises to be a unique and quality event!
